I love Lego’s and I know I am not alone. But I know what you are thinking…Josh, what are you talking about? Investing in Legos? Yes. As a personal property appraiser with an expertise (and fondness) in Toys and Games, I am often asked, "what should I collected now, for the future." I often suggest an easy one. LEGO.
They are multi-generational and loved by millions. So, they have similar attributes to other proven toy franchises. Your Star Wars, Disney, Transformers, GI Joe, Barbie, Pokemon and others. But the genius of Lego is they have partnered with the biggest brands and movie franchises, making them a cross collectible. So, they are Lego and Star Wars, Lego and Disney, Lego and Harry Potter. Plus, they will be here for as long as we have hands to build with.
I say if you can afford to buy a set for the kid to play with and one to put away for their college fund, you won't go wrong. The people that did this with Star Wars Toys know it paid off in dividends and Lego seems to be on the same track. I am just saying...
