Melt Value
$620.67
Realistic buyer offer range
$434.47 - $527.57

Most reputable gold buyers pay 70-85% of melt. Pawn shops trend lower (50-65%). Always get at least three offers.

Before you sell...

Buyers need to make a profit, that's fair. But knowing the melt value means you'll never accept 40 cents on the dollar and feel good about it. Get at least three offers before you commit.

What do those stamps mean?

24K / .999 / .9999
Pure gold, typically found in bullion bars and investment coins.
22K / .916
High-purity gold, commonly used in fine jewelry from India, the Middle East, and some gold coins.
18K / .750
The sweet spot for high-end fine jewelry, containing 75% pure gold.
14K / .585
The most common gold purity in US jewelry, balancing durability with value (58.5% gold).
10K / .417
The minimum legal karat to be sold as gold in the US, containing 41.7% gold.
9K / .375
Contains 37.5% gold, a common standard in the UK and antique European pieces.
No stamp / GF / GP
GF stands for gold-filled, GP for gold-plated. Neither has meaningful melt value. If unstamped, it requires professional testing.

This calculator shows melt value only, the raw metal price. Jewelry, coins, and collectibles with maker's marks, age, rarity, or artistic value can be worth significantly more. When in doubt, get a professional appraisal before you sell.
